Description: “Surround” depicts natural and built elements that contribute to a shared experience of our local environment. This panel incorporates anaglyphic design so that an evergreen bough seems to float against a twilit sky, hovering both in front of and behind an oval window frame that suggests a more intimate space. The window frame itself seems to emerge from the visual plane, and the fragmentary images above and below the window frame shimmer in layers slightly below and above this plane, lending an ethereal and pleasantly disorienting visual effect.
