Fathom Architecture developed a community outreach and design research project that took the form of a Parklet. The term Parklet is used to describe the conversion of a parking space into a small public park with the objective of activating existing streetscapes by expanding the pedestrian realm.
The Parklet is designed to accommodate people in a variety of seating and standing positions and is shaped to the human body while providing protection from the elements.
